*If you are parking your car outside school, please remember to leave

Your daughter should restrict her
luggage to one small rucksack to take as hand-luggage and a medium-sized soft holdall (15kg) for stowing in the
luggage hold. Information concerning luggage restrictions/hand luggage
dimensions is on Flybe’s website.
Hand luggage should include:
- any required medication and appropriate documents
- Euros, for service stations facilities (including small change for toilet facilities)
- €5 (refundable) for electronic ski pass and ski tie
- Sterling, for the airport if necessary
- breakfast and lunch, although there should be opportunity to buy provisions at departures (our first meal will be Saturday evening)

- an extra fleece/warm top, and a warm hat
- ski socks (for ski fit immediately on arrival)
Since we are flying,
I would also recommend your daughter carry the following in her hand luggage,
so that she can at least ski in the event that stowed luggage goes astray.
- salopettes/ski trousers (tightly rolled)
- goggles
- sunglasses
- ski gloves
- salopettes/ski trousers (tightly rolled)
- goggles
- sunglasses
- ski gloves
Comfortable trousers should be
worn for the journey (jeans are not recommended for travel), and your daughter
should also wear her ski jacket to use as a ‘duvet’. Your daughter should also
wear suitable footwear with deep treads that will be safe when we arrive in the
resort as there may be snow and ice on the ground. Any money she wishes to keep
safe in the ‘bank’ (Euros only) can be deposited on arrival at Resort.
If your daughter is taking any
medication which has not been declared on the medical form, she must report
this to either Miss Ladbrook or me as soon as possible. Your daughter should
keep any emergency medication (for example, Epipens or asthma inhalers) on her
person at all times. At airport security, she must have a doctor’s letter bearing her name, her medical condition
and a description of the medication if she is carrying an Epipen or inhaler.
These documents, along with her medication, must be carried in her hand luggage. Please ensure that your
daughter takes any travel sickness medication in plenty of time for the
journey.
A printed summary of the insurance policy
covering your daughter’s trip was provided at the ski meeting. Should you wish
to have an electronic copy of the full document, please contact me by email m.mcwatt@merchanttaylors.com.
I am sure I do not have to remind you that
your daughter, although on holiday, will still be representing the School and
therefore her behaviour must reflect that. Any alcohol or smoking will not be
tolerated and any girl found to be breaking any rules which have been set down
in the code of conduct that she signed at the parents’ meeting will be punished
severely, and a full report given to the Headmistress on our return.
Finally, your daughter should
arrive outside School in the early hours of Saturday morning with both her passport and EHIC. They will be collected before she boards the coach - she will
not be allowed to travel without them!
